Practice Manager

For our Investment Management practice group we are looking for a Practice Manager.

Loyens & Loeff is a reputable law firm that provides specialist legal and tax services. Our client base comprises large corporates, financials and government bodies. We distinguish ourselves from other law firms through our interdisciplinary approach in which attorneys, tax advisers and notaries all collaborate with one another. Our home markets are the Benelux and Switzerland, but we also have a strong presence in the main financial centres in Europe, Asia and the United States. Our firm has 1,600 employees world-wide, including 850 attorneys, notaries and tax advisers.                                                                  

We are looking for a Practice Manager for our Investment Management practice group.


Our practice group

The Investment Management practice group is made up of 70 attorneys and tax advisers. The team is largely based in Amsterdam and Luxembourg. It is a multidisciplinary team that is highly integrated and collaborates closely with other practice groups such as Banking & Finance, Corporate/M&A, Real Estate and International Tax Services.

What will your duties be?

As a Practice Manager, you will bear responsibility for developing, implementing and safeguarding the strategy and practice plan. This includes setting objectives with respect to marketing and business development. In this process, you will be advising on a wide range of topics. To this end, you will consult and work closely with the practice group and stay in contact with the corporate support departments.

You will work on projects involving different practice groups and you will encourage the practice group to collaborate at a Benelux level as well as with other Loyens & Loeff offices outside the Netherlands. You will also be responsible for managing and supporting the relevant work processes in the practice group with respect to marketing, communications and business development, finance, knowledge management, IT and HR.

Who are we looking for?

You have the ability to think and work at an academic level and have at least 8 to 15 years’ relevant work experience in the legal professional services sector (in principle as an attorney or tax adviser). Your legal knowledge overlaps with the practice group's expertise and you preferably have some experience with our client's sectors such as Private Equity and Real Estate.

You are an excellent project manager and relationship manager (you build bridges), have a strong sense of responsibility and are results-orientated. You have honed your advisory, communication and commercial skills and are able to build support for your initiatives. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a hands-on mentality. You have an excellent command of the English language, both in terms of speaking and writing skills.
