Business Developer

For our Communication & Marketing department we are looking for a Business Developer (1.0 FTE).

Location: Amsterdam / Rotterdam

The role

We are looking for a proactive and take-charge business developer who enjoys managing a challenging and diverse workload. Together with the business, you will take the lead in developing attractive value propositions for our key clients and markets, and work with our marketers on coordinating and executing successful sales-driven marketing strategies.

In addition, you will be responsible for identifying the real needs of our clients and communicating their requirements to our organisation. You will act as a sparring partner to the business and serve as the linking pin between them and the Communication & Marketing department, while efficiently managing the diverse interests of the various stakeholders. In this process, you will come into contact with the premium clients we serve. In order to make our organisation future-proof, you will lead or be involved in commercial projects on innovative issues such as the development of digital value-added services for our clients.

Skills and experience

  • A relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ work experience.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written.
  • Self-starting ability.
  • Good project management skills.
  • A client and service-oriented approach.
  • Strong commercial, communicative and social skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Persuasiveness and (organisational) sensitivity.
  • Experience in business development/marketing.
  • Knowledge of the professional services sector (nice to have).
